At the heart of our design is cozy chic and effortless elegance. Our materials are carefully sourced to provide you with the utmost comfort and indulgence. Lounge, lifestyle, career, travel; each garment in the collection is designed to transition from lounge to everyday to a statement. We aim to strike the perfect balance between style and comfort.
Each garment starts as a single ball of yarn. That yarn is unspooled and looped and looped, knitted endlessly, until your garment is made. The yarn passes through our hands, thoughtfully, as we craft this piece of clothing that will eventually end up on your body. We take that seriously, and we go further to take this basic principle of knitting as a philosophy for life. We are all connected, a single strand of yarn, in this beautiful and majestic tapestry.

Our Promise
We started this journey as young designers in the early 2000's. Ciao is a new incarnation, founded in 2022, but one that is almost 20 years in the making. 20 years ago we started doing manufacturing in Bali and it has been a home away from home ever since. We are proud to say we have deep roots in Indonesia.
Ciao Knitwear is a strong advocate for sustainable and ethical practices. We actively promote responsible sourcing of materials and integrate eco-friendly approaches into our design process.
Furthermore, we are devoted to our tiny team of knitting partners. Every garment will be touched by Pak Totok, Pak Sukaji, and Pak Fery. Our small team has created every garment with love. Ciao Knitwear is nothing without them and we have built our business around their success. We remain committed to making a positive impact on the environment and serving as a source of change.
